Librairie les Hirondelles
Inspired by its very name, Les Hirondelles Bookshop captures the spirit of reading and journeying through stories. The logo presents a swallow in profile, sweeping rightwards in flight—an emblem of freedom, new horizons, and the adventure found in books.
Nestled between the bird’s two wings are the stylised pages of an open book, elegantly woven into the design as both feathers and the heart of the shop’s purpose. This gentle interplay between bird and book conjures up the feeling of weightlessness and possibility—each book, like the swallow, offering a passport to another place.
With its light, uplifting design, the logo embodies the freshness, movement, and subtle poetry that define the bookshop’s character. It beautifully unites the world of literature with the timeless image of the swallow, signalling a warm invitation to discover stories that set the imagination in motion.
The visual identity of the bookshop extends beyond its logo, shaping a whole graphic universe that brings the space and its communications to life. This design has been carried through a variety of formats, including:
